Few people applied the challenge this year, but they show wonderful works of arts in the first month. Someone apply this challenge for years, but there is new challenger, too. Let’s see first the introductions, after that the works of arts.
I’m a mother of 2 little boys and I’m the originator of the WWDesign Facebook page. You can see my works on that Facebook page. I usually make bead crochets, but sometimes I make bead embroideries. I always love arts and crafts, since I twas a child and took part in different courses. I learnt many techniques during 13 years, for example: planking, leathering, bead weave, embroidery. My first favorite technique is the crochet, what I learnt form my grandmother. I still making crochets, but now I add beads to the crochets. My favorite part of the creating is when I start to see the pattern of the bracelet or the necklace. I also make medallions and tablecloth. So I thought that I show you something new in January. 😉
I try to pay attention my environment as a mother. So I used washable diapers now. I had an idea in December – I can make crochet, so I can make a wool diaper, too. I’ve never made crochet clothes, so I didn’t have much experiences. I restarted many-many times, I disassembled and crochet again and again. But finally I made it!
The size of the diaper is about 80 and it was made from 100 % merino wool. This material has a special property. If I soak it with lanolin, it will be water-proof. This way it’s a perfect outside diaper. There is a inside diaper under wool diaper, which absorb the wetness.
Next time I will show you jewels. 🙂
Welcome everyone! My name is Gabriella Jász, z Gabriella, aka JG Soutache. My hobby are the making soutache jewels and thread beads. These are my favorite techniques. I train myself, so I always keep my eyes peeled. This way I can learn many new things and find many inspirations.
I’m Ilona Hollenczerné Balogh Ilona, who write the “Bigyi-Bogyó” blog. I help beginners to learn how to thread beads. I’m writing posts about how to thread the patterns. I also write tales about bead-chicks and other bead animals. I often give tale book presentations, what the children really love.
Last year, I often show you bead cubes, so I started this year with a cube, too. Here are two similar cubes with some differences. 😉
